Important Notes

If your child is going to be away from school, please leave a message with the office (905-667-2612) so that we know. Thanks!

If your child is going to be away for an extended period of time, please write me a note or e-mail me (Aviva Dunsiger) so that I can share this information with the office. Depending on how long your child is going to be away, you may need to fill out some additional forms that I can provide you with. I will let you know if this is the case. Thank you for your help with this!

If you plan on picking up your child early from school, please make sure to inform me so that I can inform the office. Thank you!

Contacting Me:

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at adunsige@hwdsb.on.ca. You can also phone me at school at (905) 667-2612. Sending a note with your child is another great way to get ahold of me. I will definitely respond quickly to any notes that I receive.

Planning Minutes

I want to share my Planning Meeting Minutes with you. This will give you the opportunity to see and hear an overview of my plans for the week, as well as ask me any questions you have about these plans. If you have any ideas to share based on these plans, please leave a comment and let me know. I’d love to hear your thoughts. These recorded meeting minutes may be long, but if you just want to listen to a section of them, you can click on the ideas you want to hear and even just read my notes for the rest. I hope you find these minutes useful in supporting your child at home. Please note that I will start sharing these minutes by the beginning of the second week in September once we have more regular team meetings.

Daily Shoot: Miss Dunsiger’s Class – Day 133

I met with a Swedish Delegation down in Toronto today, so I don’t have my regular Storify Story to share. Here are two tweets from students today though.

Talk to your child about this Tornado Provocation and his/her house building plans. We’ll be discussing this more in class tomorrow.
